Li Qiang was born in Chongqing in 1995. He graduated from Chongqing Business College in 2011. He completed the graduate course of oil painting at the Central Academy of Fine Arts from 2013 to 2018. He taught at the Material Art Studio of the Central Academy of Fine Arts from 2019 to 2023. He taught at the Comprehensive Materials High Research Class of the School of Arts at Peking University. He is currently a long-term supervisor at the Material Art Studio of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He works and lives in Beijing, and is a collector at the Central Academy of Fine Arts Art Museum, Sichuan Academy of Fine Arts Art Museum, and Shanghai New Art Museum
The construction of "stripes" in the work is used to shape or dissolve objects, which is also the beginning of seeking self-expression. Constructing sensory images of urban architecture in self-awareness. Among them, there are some who question the urban arrhythmia caused by the excessive modernity of local architecture. Faced with the disorderly expansion of cities, the attempt to forge cities at a pace comparable to the world, and the uncertainty of where we live, all of these are an unbreakable knot of the times. In the urban forest constructed of reinforced concrete, amidst the bustling crowds, we are confused, conflicted, and lost. When our bodies are immersed in the sea of desire and unable to find our own direction of self-worth, are there any artistic creations that can be out of place, and should there be some artistic works that can have some spiritual guidance?
